Agadir to Massa

After breakfast, departure for a full day trip to Souss Massa Natural Park by 4WD cars. The 33,800 ha Parc National de Souss-Massa was created in 1991. Lying between Agadir to the north and Sidi Ifni to the south, this Atlantic coastal site includes a variety of habitats, ranging from Argania spinosa woodland, cultivated fields, Retama and Euphorbia steppe, to dunes, cliffs, sandy beaches and wetlands. It encompasses the estuaries of the Oued Souss (the northern limit of the park) and Oued Massa.

A region of c.30,000 ha near Aglou, south of the park, is also included in the site because it is used periodically as a feeding area by Geronticus eremita (see below). This area comprises sheep-grazed littoral steppe approximately 1-2 km wide between the foothills of the Anti-Atlas and the sea. The soils are mainly sandy, with some rocky and stony patches, and most of the area consists of small, intermittently cultivated fields. There is a considerable settled human population in and around the park and Aglou; activities include agriculture, livestock rearing, fishing (both commercial and leisure) and tourism.

Lunch will be served at Ksar Massa restaurant, located at a mere 25 miles south of Agadir, Sidi R’bat is a place of great strength and beauty, complete with a 5 miles stretch of fine sandy beach at the heart of Souss-Massa National Park and its bird sanctuary. Many species of birds such as greater flamingo, blue tit, crane, marbled teal and bald ibis may be watched here. Into peace and serenity on Ksar Massa’s 6-hectare property.

Marrakech full day from Agadir

Your day trip to Marrakech from Agadir start at 08:00 AM. Drive throgh the new highway linking the two cities to Marrakech. Arrive by 11:00 AM and start your tour of the magic city: Visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments in Marrakech including Bahia Palace: Built in the late 19th century, the name literally means ‘brilliance’ and was intended to be the greatest Palace of its time.

You will also visit the Saadian tombs, only recently discovered in 1917 and restored. The tombs have, because of the beauty of their decoration, been a major attraction. After lunch at one of the Riad restaurants in the old town, Stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets in the Medina and visit the famous Souks, selling everything from leather to clothing to spices. Witness the astonishing spectacle of Djemaa El Fna Square. Used equally by locals and tourists, you will find juice stalls, water sellers and snake charmers by day and dancing boys, storytellers and magicians by night. As darkness descends, the square fills with food stalls. for visitors of Marrakech.

Taroudant / Tiout

This is the perfect tour for a 4×4 adventurer who wants to experience the berber life in the countryside of southern Morocco. Depart Agadir heading to Taroudant, also known as the small Marrakech, which is just 1-1/2 hours away. It’s a town that is half citadel, half oasis; it possesses great charm and grace, with its majestic gold, pink and orange high walls.

Drive around the historical wall surrounding the city and stop for photos. Enter the medina through one of its gates and cross its narrow and colorful streets and souks before continuing to the Berber Village and Oasis of Tiout, just 18 miles away. You might catch a glimpse of goats eating on the top of Argan trees by the roadside and if possible, your bus will stop for a unique photo opportunity.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the local Berber inhabitants with their saddled mules and donkeys, ready to assist you with a ride to discover the oasis of the village with its palm grove, river and bridge.

Enjoy lunch in this country setting under Berber tents where you’ll see local folk entertainers and experience the real life of the Berbers while enjoying Moroccan specialties.

Then it’s back to your bus by donkey and mule ride for your return to Agadir. Relax and enjoy the views during your two-hour drive.

Tafraout Full day

Leave the coast of Agadir at 08h00 in the morinng of an exciting day trip to Tafraout located in the heart of the Anti Atlas Mountains

You will drive east past lush green oases, deep red walled canyons and adobe fortified villages daunted with prickly pear hedges and almond trees.

You will have an opportunity to watch goats climbing Argan and Acacia trees. Upon arrival to Tafraout village with its brightly painted houses and friendly Berber people, wonder around the Souks before lunch at a local restaurant while admiring the scenery.

From here we will drive to Tiznit famous for its red walls, and visit the silver jewelery quarter considered the most famous all over Morocco.
